.365.

I am not usually one to come up with big grand new year's resolutions because I feel like goals can (and should) be made any time of the year; especially because a new year is the next 365 days no matter what the calendar says... Does that make sense? Well tonight I thought of something that jord and I are going to do for our new year, aka the next 365 days. (Let's make January 18th the Hamren new year, if the Chinese can branch off then so can we!) Here is a little background on the matter before I jump right in: My amazing 3 older sisters and their husbands and even their kids combined their awesomeness and gave jord and I the absolute coolest wedding present ever, "A Years Worth Of Sense". A book that they compiled, designed, and printed consisting of spiritual thoughts, advice, date night ideas, recipes, cleaning tips etc. for each day of the year. Pretty much anything you could ever need! Jord and I have loved having the wisdom of these great people at an arm's reach away. We have and will always benefit from that magical book!
I love reading through the book because everybody's personality comes out a little in everything that they say, and they are such great examples! As I was flipping through it not minutes ago, I was thinking to myself that I need to incorporate and use all of these things but there are so many to do all at once! So jord and I are going to do one page a day corresponding with the date to really take advantage of all of this cool stuff. :)

Happy Hamren New Year everybody!

"Spray your fabric shower curtain with your favorite cologne."

I am really excited about this one. As many of you know, jord went to McAllen Texas on his mission which is basically Mexico, if you stumble and fall you might end up in the Rio Grande! Apparently there were lots of people who brought products over from Mexico where they were made and sold them for way cheaper than they usually go for. As a result jord ended up with some Burberry cologne, which we used on our shower curtain tonight. Thanks for the tip, Tif!!
